ADHD AWARE

Terms of Service

Last updated: 13 June 2026

These Terms govern your use of adhdaware (the "site", "service") operated by ADHD AWARE Consulting ("we", "us"). By creating an account, purchasing a program, or using any feature of the site (including chatting with Olivia, posting to the forum, or downloading resources), you agree to these Terms.

⚠️ Important — this is not medical advice

ADHD AWARE provides parenting education and coaching. Nothing on this site (including articles, the AWARE program, downloadable resources, the community forum, or conversations with Olivia, our AI coach) is medical, psychological, psychiatric, or legal advice, and it is not a substitute for assessment, diagnosis, or treatment by a qualified healthcare professional.

ADHD is a clinical diagnosis. Decisions about diagnosis, medication, dosage, therapy, or any other clinical intervention must be made with your child's GP, paediatrician, psychiatrist, psychologist, or other registered health practitioner. Do not start, stop, or change a treatment plan based on anything you read or hear here.

If you or your child are in distress or in danger, call 000 in Australia, Lifeline 13 11 14, or Kids Helpline 1800 55 1800.

1. Who can use the service

You must be at least 16 years old and capable of forming a binding contract. The platform is for parents, caregivers, educators, and other adults supporting children with ADHD. It is not designed for, and is not directed at, children themselves.

2. Your account

  • Provide accurate information when registering and keep it current.

  • Keep access to the email address on your account secure — you sign in with single-use links sent there, so anyone with access to your inbox could access your account.

  • One person per account — don't forward your sign-in links to anyone else.

  • Tell us if you suspect your account has been accessed without your permission.

3. Olivia, the AI coach

Olivia is an AI assistant powered by Google's Gemini models. She is helpful, but she is not perfect and is not a clinician.

  • Olivia's responses are generated by a large language model and may occasionally be incorrect, incomplete, or out of date.

  • Olivia does not have access to your child's medical history and cannot diagnose, prescribe, or replace a healthcare professional.

  • Always sense-check important decisions with a qualified practitioner.

  • Olivia may generate information that appears authoritative but is inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your circumstances. Users should independently verify important information before acting on it.

  • We don't store your conversations with Olivia on our servers — they live in your browser during the session and are cleared when you end it. On our side we keep only an anonymous message counter, and live voice calls are configured for zero retention. See our Privacy Policy.

4. Community forum standards

The community is a peer support space, not a clinical service. By posting, you agree to:

  • Be respectful. No harassment, hate speech, threats, doxxing, or shaming.

  • No medical advice. Share your own experience; don't prescribe treatment for someone else's child.

  • No promotion or selling without permission.

  • Don't share identifying information about other people's children.

We may remove posts and suspend accounts that breach these standards, at our discretion.

5. Programs, purchases & subscriptions

  • Prices are listed in Australian dollars (AUD) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

  • Payments are processed by Stripe. By purchasing you also accept Stripe's terms.

  • Lifetime program access means access for as long as the platform operates and your account is in good standing.

  • Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You can cancel any time from your member dashboard or by emailing us; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

6. Refunds

Nothing in this section limits any rights or remedies available under Australian Consumer Law. Where a consumer guarantee applies, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund, compensation, or other remedy as provided by law.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for anything illegal or harmful.

  • Attempt to break, probe, scrape, or overload the platform.

  • Reverse-engineer Olivia, harvest conversation outputs, or use them to train another model.

  • Re-distribute paid program materials, downloadable templates, or videos.

  • Impersonate anyone or misrepresent your affiliation.

8. Your content

You keep ownership of anything you post (forum threads, replies, profile content, messages to Olivia). By posting, you give us a non-exclusive licence to display and distribute that content as part of running the service. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share.

9. Our content

The articles, AWARE program lessons, downloadable templates, and Olivia's personality and framing are owned by ADHD AWARE Consulting. You get a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use them for your own family's benefit. No commercial reuse, resale, or republishing without written permission.

10. Service availability

We aim to keep the platform available, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, pause, or remove features, and we may release updates that change how things work, all without prior notice (except where the change is materially adverse to paying members).

11. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights, guarantees, or remedies available under Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

  • The service is provided "as is".

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.

  • Our total liability to you, in connection with the service, is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

12. Termination

You can close your account at any time from your dashboard or by emailing us. We can suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms. On termination, your access to paid programs ends and your data is handled per the Privacy Policy.

13. Governing law
