Sat in the psych's office ticking boxes for my son and slowly realising I was describing my entire childhood. 38 and it's all clicking into place. Bit of a wild ride parenting an ADHD kid while going 'oh... ohhh' about yourself.

Hand up 🙋♂️ Got my own assessment 6 months after my son's. Honestly made me a better parent because I actually GET the wall he hits with transitions now.

The number of us in this exact boat is wild. The apple doesn't fall far. Be kind to little-you while you're at it.

Me, currently on a 4-month waitlist for my own assessment, parenting two ADHD kids on undiagnosed-ADHD fumes. Solidarity 😅

Same realisation here. It reframed so much guilt — turns out I wasn't lazy or scattered, my brain just works like theirs.
